About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my site!

My name is August Milhouse, the creative hand behind AugHouse.

As a disabled veteran with a rather janky list of factory defects, I am blessed—and, in some ways, burdened—with an abundance of free time. While a good portion of it is dedicated to becoming a husband and dog dad of the year candidate, each day still leaves me with sand in the hourglass.

Art is my equalizer.

It gives me a renewed sense of purpose. AugHouse is my opportunity—a chance to be productive, provide for my family, and connect with the world through something I've created.

So, why the goal of one million artworks sold?

Because it's wild. Because it's a challenge. Because it's something that a million people—or more, from all walks of life, could potentially be part of.

But more importantly, I want AugHouse to serve as a reminder to dream big and chase the extraordinary.

Every day is a gift, even when life doesn't unfold the way we imagined. Sometimes it throws us curveballs. Sometimes those curveballs change everything. My disabilities have certainly taught me that. But when life changes the rules, we adapt, find new ways forward, and keep on trucking.

I don't know whether AugHouse will ever reach one million sales; but I do know that extraordinary things rarely happen without someone being willing to try.

And even if I fall short, there's still room for success, learning, and opportunities I might’ve never discovered otherwise.

Every purchase is more than a sale. It's a show of support for a simple belief: that amazing things are still possible.

That's what this journey is about. Not just selling art, but embracing possibility, celebrating resilience, and reminding ourselves that our circumstances don't have to determine the limits of our dreams.

So whether you're here to purchase a piece, follow the progress, or simply look around, thank you for being part of it.

Here's to dreaming big, chasing the extraordinary, and seeing just how far we can go.
